Job summary

Aras Kargo is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to own the architecture behind our LLM-powered services and backend platform. You will drive real-time streaming systems, ensure architectural discipline, and mentor mid-level engineers while partnering with a senior developer.

The role focuses on Python backends, vector search, cloud services, and event-driven designs to move operations toward real-time capabilities across logistics platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production backend systems in Python (FastAPI or comparable).
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM/RAG systems and vector search.
• Cloud-based architectures and DevOps coordination at infra level.
• Experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL; Redis for caching/queues.
• Designing event-driven services with Kafka (producers/consumers).
• Proven track record of introducing automated testing and CI/CD gates; mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Own LLM-powered chat and retrieval-augmented generation services.
• Maintain architectural consistency across backend services.
• Implement automated testing and enforce code quality standards.
• Integrate cloud identity, secrets, and storage services with DevOps.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and pair with senior developers.
• Move internal tools to real-time, event-driven streaming.
