Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect, develop, and operationalize enterprise-grade AI agents, multi-agent workflows, and AI/ML solutions using Python, Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, AutoGen, and Strands SDK. You will partner with architects and data teams to move solutions from prototype to scalable production.

You will design agent behavior, manage state and memory, integrate APIs, and implement CI/CD and release management with Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python for AI/agent solutions and scripting.
• Experience building agents and multi-agent workflows with orchestration frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of Azure AI Foundry for developing and deploying agents at scale.
• Strong grasp of LLM concepts (prompt engineering, RAG, grounding, tool calls).
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2 and API keys for integration.
• Ability to design agent behavior with state, memory, tools, and fallback paths.
• Ability to work with architects and data teams to deliver scalable production-grade solutions.
• English proficiency at least B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain AI agents and multi-agent workflows.
• Operationalize AI/ML models in scalable production environments.
• Build orchestration with Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, and Strands SDK.
• Apply RAG, grounding, and prompt optimization to improve quality.
• Connect agents with internal and external systems via APIs and connectors.
• Create error handling, fallback flows, and escalation paths.
• Conduct testing and assessment of agents and automation workflows.
• Collaborate with data teams to convert requirements into deployable solutions.
• Assist with deployment, CI/CD, and release management using Azure DevOps.
• Track agent performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
