Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join a fast-paced team building data platforms and AI-driven solutions. You will design scalable data pipelines, cloud-native apps, and leverage GenAI tools to accelerate development.

You will design and develop scalable web services with FastAPI, optimize data processing, and work with Azure cloud services, CI/CD, and IaC to deploy robust solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Python experience.
• Hands-on with FastAPI or similar web frameworks.
• Experience with data processing tools: Pandas, Polars, openpyxl, DuckDB.
• Strong data pipeline architecture knowledge (data lakes, medallion, star schema).
• CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions).
• Azure cloud experience (Container Apps, Storage, Service Bus, SignalR).
• IaC experience (Bicep, Terraform, or AWS CDK).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web services and background jobs using FastAPI.
• Build and optimize data processing and reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures.
• Work with Azure cloud platforms to deploy and manage applications.
