Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably SAP FI).
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main contact for SSC regarding accounting transactions.
• Manage general ledger, fixed assets, customer and supplier accounts in SAP.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing with Finance Manager and SSC.
• Coordinate monthly and annual tax audits with external partners.
• Manage corrections in bookkeeping based on local tax feedback.
• Oversee cash management and daily cash reporting.
• Ensure treasury transactions are entered by SSC (Hamburg).
• Handle monthly bank account reconciliations and payments.
• Prepare management reports and ensure finance process compliance.
• Review expense reports and reconcile personnel accounts before SAP entries.

Job description

We are looking for an Accounting & Treasury Executive to join our Finance team and play a key role to manage and oversee the company's accounting and treasury functions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies while supporting the company’s financial operations. The position requires strong SAP knowledge and good English communication skills, as you will be working with international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

• Act as the main contact person for SSC – Shared Service Center regarding accounting transactions.
• Manage general ledger, fixed assets, customer, and supplier accounts in SAP.
• Follow up month-end and quarter-end closing processes with Finance Manager and SSC.
• Coordinate monthly and annual tax audits with external tax partners.
• Manage corrections in bookkeeping based on local tax consultant feedback.

Treasury

• Oversee cash management, including daily reporting of cash and fund balances.
• Ensure all treasury transactions are entered by SSC (Hamburg)
• Handle monthly bank account reconciliations.
• Prepare and oversee tax and social security payments to local banks.
• Manage local bank transfer orders and ensure timely execution.

Compliance & Reporting

• Follow up on declarations to tax offices and municipalities with tax consultants.
• Prepare necessary management reports and ensure compliance with finance procedures.
• Investigate new customers’ credibility and update customer credit lists annually.
• Ensure proper handling of cost accounting documents for local and imported goods.
• Operational Support
• Check weekly supplier payment lists prepared by SSC,
• Review employee expense reports, reconcile personnel accounts before SAP entries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting
• Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably SAP FI)
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

• Experience in an international or multinational company
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting processes
