This role blends research with market-facing storytelling, helping your name grow in the security community while driving Picus’s market expansion. The ideal candidate will publish research, speak at conferences, and craft technical narratives that resonate with practitioners and executives alike.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in offensive and/or defensive cybersecurity.
• Portfolio of published technical content (blogs, papers, talks).
• Ability to translate complex concepts for varied audiences.
• Strong written and verbal English.
• Technical expertise in penetration testing tooling and vulnerability management.
• Hands-on familiarity with blue-team tooling (SIEM, EDR/XDR).
• Autonomous security validation and research exploration.
• Hands-on experience with adversarial techniques.
• Scripting skills (Python or similar).
• Knowledge of SEO/AEO principles and content strategy.
• Presentations at industry events and conferences.
• Cybersecurity certifications (OSCP, CISSP, CCSP, GPEN, GSEC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Continuously research threats and translate findings into authoritative content.
• Produce high-impact technical content: papers, reports, blogs, briefs, webinars, and presentations.
• Collaborate with labs, product, and engineering to explain product capabilities through narratives.
• Monitor analyst perspectives and competitive landscape to differentiate content.
• Drive SEO/AEO to generate organic inbound traffic and topical authority.
• Map content across the buyer journey to educate, engage, and drive conversions.
• Collaborate with Growth, Threat Research, Red/Blue Teams, and Alliances to scale content.
