Job summary

MetLife México is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to enable Agile teams to deliver business value through effective Agile practices and continuous improvement. You will coach teams, support PI planning, and collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to align priorities.

You will facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and promote high-performing, self-organizing teams while driving broader adoption of Agile across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience as Scrum Master or similar Agile role.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting multiple Agile teams and facilitating planning and delivery activities.
• Experience facilitating Program Increment (PI) Planning events.
• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Targetprocess, and Miro.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) with strong team participation.
• Coach teams in Agile, Scrum, SAFe practices and continuous improvement.
• Identify, manage, and remove impediments affecting delivery and team performance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to align priorities and goals.
• Support Sprint Planning and PI Planning to align delivery with roadmaps.
• Monitor progress using Agile metrics and dashboards.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and self-organizing teams.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination.
• Champion Agile practices across the organization.

The Opportunity

The Scrum Master is responsible for enabling Agile teams to deliver business value through effective Agile practices and continuous improvement. Working closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, this role helps drive successful delivery, team effectiveness, and alignment with business priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to coach teams, foster collaboration, and contribute to the expansion of Agile ways of working across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring effective team participation and engagement.
• Coach and mentor teams in the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe practices.
• Proactively identify, manage, and remove impediments that could impact team productivity, delivery, or overall performance.
• Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and team members to strengthen collaboration and ensure alignment on priorities and objectives.
• Support Sprint Planning and Program Increment (PI) Planning activities, helping teams align delivery plans with business goals and roadmap commitments.
• Track, monitor, and communicate team progress using Agile metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospective discussions and supporting the implementation of improvement actions.
• Enable teams to become self-organizing, accountable, and high-performing while promoting Agile best practices.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination activities that may impact successful delivery.
• Champion Agile ways of working and contribute to the broader adoption of Agile principles across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Scrum Leader, or in a similar Agile delivery role.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and preferably SAFe methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting multiple Agile teams and facilitating planning and delivery activities.
• Experience facilitating Program Increment (PI) Planning events.
• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Targetprocess, and Miro.
• Strong servant leadership mindset with a focus on team engagement and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.
• Experience managing cross-team dependencies and supporting complex Agile delivery environments.
• Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master certification are considered an advantage.
