Job summary

CACTUS is seeking an Editor to refine research manuscripts with discipline‑specific clarity, ensuring scientific accuracy and strong language quality. You will edit for coherence, structure, and journal standards to support global publishing success.

Responsibilities include evaluating study design and statistics, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Prior editing experience is preferred, and excellent English writing is essential.

Qualifications

• A PhD degree in Public Health or Epidemiology (mandatory).
• 5–10 or more first-author publications (mandatory).
• Ability to critically assess study design, methodology, statistics, and interpretation.
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific content and ensure discipline‑specific accuracy.
• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in scientific editing or academic publishing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts to improve clarity, coherence, and readability.
• Ensure subject‑specific terminology and conventions are accurate for the audience.
• Improve presentation of complex findings to enhance publication readiness.
