Job summary

Pragmatike is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Compute Team responsible for the core compute platform powering backend services. In this fully remote role, you'll mentor software engineers and drive architectural direction, ensuring high reliability and scalability.

You'll need over 7 years of software engineering experience, including strong cloud platform expertise, especially in AWS, and a solid background in building distributed backend systems with Golang.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years in leadership or engineering management roles.
• Strong expertise in AWS, especially EC2, ECS, and Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers.
• Drive architectural direction for compute platform.
• Contribute hands-on to design and implementation of compute services.

Skills

Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Building distributed backend systems with Golang

Kubernetes and containerization

Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi)

CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, CircleCI)

Linux systems and networking fundamentals

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Technical judgment and coding balance
