Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand support for global data centers. You will install, configure, and maintain servers and networking gear, monitor remote and on-site operations, and resolve hardware and software issues to ensure uptime.

The ideal candidate works independently with strong communication, understands Cisco/Juniper networks, Linux and Windows servers, and can document tasks for the remote management team.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center operations and hardware installation.
• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Cisco/Juniper networking and Linux/Windows servers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers and networking equipment for uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnose issues.
• Manage networking devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Administer Linux and Windows systems, apply updates and security patches.
• Document installations and performance for the remote management team.
• Implement security protocols and collaborate with remote IT teams.
