Job summary

Otto HR in Türkiye seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend services powering the Otto HR platform and its AI assistant. The role focuses on implementing new features, enhancing APIs, and integrating with third‑party services while collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to refine requirements and conduct code reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful or GraphQL APIs and working with server-side frameworks.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, using at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go).
• Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and applying OOP best practices in production systems.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms or containerization (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Ability to write tests, debug complex issues, and optimize performance in distributed systems.
• Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a remote team, and willingness to participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building HR, payroll, or enterprise SaaS products
