Job summary

Sezzle is seeking an AI Engineer II to take end-to-end ownership of AI-powered platforms and systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will design, build, and deploy AI-driven features and orchestration systems that enhance customer experiences and productivity across teams.

Role requires strong Python, SQL, and React skills, plus experience with Claude or similar LLM tools. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to deliver scalable, reliable solutions and mentor

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software/AI engineering experience.
• Hands-on design, build and production deployment of AI-powered systems.
• Experience with Claude or similar LLM tools is required; leverage AI to boost productivity.
• Experience with distributed systems, full-stack design, and cloud environments (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and ownership of AI-powered internal platforms and systems.
• Deliver end-to-end projects from discovery to production rollout and iteration.
• Design AI-driven features, automation, and orchestration to improve customer experiences and team productivity.
• Embed AI capabilities into customer-facing products and internal tools with measurable value.
• Build full-stack systems spanning backend services, APIs, data layers, and frontends.
• Translate ambiguous problems into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Ensure reliability, performance, security, and auditability across platforms.
• Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities and drive adoption.
• Contribute to production support and incident responses for owned systems.
• Mentor team members through code reviews and design feedback.
