Job summary

UN Women, Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (Istanbul), seeks a Communications Analyst to plan and implement communications and advocacy strategies across the region. The role supports the ECA Regional Communications Team in mobilizing resources and shaping gender equality narratives.

The analyst will develop materials, manage media relations, monitor trends, and strengthen the web and social media presence to advance UN Women’s mandate.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field.
• Minimum of two years' professional experience in public relations, communications or advocacy.
• Experience in media relations and social media usage is desirable and required respectively.
• Proficiency in computer and office software packages, including web-based management systems.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supports development, coordination and implementation of the Regional Communications and Advocacy Strategy.
• Monitors media and social media trends; drafts reports; coordinates campaigns and events.
• Produces communication materials such as press releases and articles; manages dissemination and donor visibility.
• Supports media relations by building relationships and maintaining media databases.
• Manages RO's website and social media accounts to maintain an effective online presence.
