Job summary

TEI - TUSAŞ Engine Industries, Inc. in Turkey is looking for a sourcing strategy manager for R&D projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring effective procurement processes. A degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related engineering disciplines is required, along with fluency in English. Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP SD and MM modules is preferable.

1. Form and manage a sourcing strategy of procuring products and services for TEI’s indigenous R&D projects such as raw materials, test systems – tools, investment equipment
2. Manage sourcing projects according to project requirements and ensure the coordination of internal departments such as Research & Development, Program Management, Planning, Quality and Accounting
3. Ensure effective and efficient execution of procurement activities, coordinates activities involved with negotiating with supplier quotations to obtain favorable prices, terms and conditions of payment and service levels, manage lead times
4. Improve partnerships with current suppliers
5. Search for alternative local and international suppliers and materials, executing supplier relations and organizing business relations
6. Periodically evaluate suppliers in terms of on-time delivery, quality, lead time and make appropriate recommendations to management
7. Monitor, identify and mitigate supply chain risks
8. Prepare reports and presentations regularly regarding status of projects
9. Follow global aerospace market, new trends, market conditions and regulations

What Do We Expect From You?

• University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Knowledge of SAP, knowledge of SD and MM Modules preferable
• Very good command of MS Office (especially Excel, advanced level)
• Supply Chain and project management knowledge – experience is preferable
• Analytical thinking competency, ability to closely follow up topics against deadlines
• Comfortable with multi-tasking and organized
• Able to work in a multinational environment with suppliers from different countries
• Stress tolerance and ability to work under time pressure
• Excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving and teamwork skills
• No travel restrictions (national & international)
