Job summary

iLab, a consumer internet platform in Turkey, seeks an R&D Product Manager to drive ML/data product development from problem framing to production. You will own ML-enabled features in a cross-functional setting, work hands-on with Python and SQL, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate metrics like conversion and revenue into product outcomes.

The role emphasizes building or evaluating ML models, working with LLM-based systems, and delivering measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Built or evaluated ML/data products end-to-end from problem to production.
• Hands-on Python and SQL in a working context.
• Experience with LLM-based systems: prompting, RAG, evaluation, or cost/latency tradeoffs.

Must Have

• Personally built or evaluated machine learning models — not just managed people who did
• Owned at least one ML or data product end to end, from problem definition to production
• Hands-on with Python and SQL in a working context, not as listed skills
• Practical experience with LLM-based systems: prompting, RAG, evaluation, or cost/latency tradeoffs
• At least one business outcome metric tied to their work — conversion, revenue, engagement — not only model metrics like AUC or F1
• Experience working inside a larger organization with business stakeholders
• Reads English technical material comfortably

Nice to Have

• Recommendation, ranking, search relevance, NLP, or forecasting background.
• Marketplace, two-sided platform, e-commerce, banking analytics, or HR tech domain.
• Startup founding experience combined with corporate experience.
• PhD in CS, EE, IE, Statistics, or OR with at least 2 years in industry afterwards.
• Public evidence of depth: GitHub activity, technical blog, publications, or conference talks.
