Job summary

karbonturk is seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to support the Production Manager in ensuring safe, efficient and consistent manufacturing operations on rotating shifts at our Turkey plant. You will supervise day-to-day production activities and coordinate the production team to meet plans.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in activated carbon manufacturing, strong problem-solving, and willingness to work abroad.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 3-5 years of production experience in activated carbon manufacturing.
• Experience supervising teams and coordinating production activities in a shift-based environment.
• Knowledge of production processes and relevant safety, quality and environmental requirements, including ASTM standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills.
• Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including night shifts.
• Willing to work abroad.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the production team during assigned shifts to meet production plans and operational targets.
• Coordinate shift activities, allocate resources and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Ensure production processes comply with applicable safety, quality and environmental requirements, including ASTM standards.
• Monitor production performance and KPIs, maintain shift records, and report results to the Production Manager.
• Escalate deviations or issues promptly to leadership.
• Coordinate with Quality, R&D and Supply Chain to support continuity and efficiency.
• Support production planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Identify improvement opportunities and communicate them to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the production team during assigned shifts to meet production plans and operational targets.
• Coordinate shift activities, allocate resources and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Ensure production processes comply with applicable safety, quality, including ASTM, and environmental standards.
• Monitor production performance and KPIs, maintain accurate shift records, and report results and significant issues to the Production Manager.
• Monitor process conditions and product quality, and promptly escalated deviations or operational issues.
• Coordinate with the Quality, R&D and Supply Chain teams to support production continuity and operational efficiency.
• Support production planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Identify improvement opportunities and communicate them to the Production Manager.
