ING Analytics is a new unit responsible for realizing this vision for ING, differentiating ING as a leader in data-driven organization, within the banking sector and beyond. The team consists of a number of Global Analytics Centre of Excellence around the bank’s key capabilities (such as Pricing, Risk Management, Financial Crime, Customer Intelligence and People Analytics.) as well as strong coordination areas around data management, technology, customer journey, UX, as well as external partnerships.
About the Role
RBA in ING Analytics is looking for a Product Manager. As a Product Manager you will originate and build data-driven algorithmic products in customer intelligence area. This is an entrepreneurial and global role in an innovative international team.
What department?
Retail Banking Analytics specialises in delivering Analytics and AI products and solutions across the ING retail business. We work together with all retail business units to deliver on the ING retail banking strategy. Projects span across personalisation and customer intelligence, mortgages, consumer lending, and business banking.
Work Model

Team members typically come together in our Vadistanbul office for two days per week during three weeks of the month, while one week each month is fully remote. As part of a globally distributed organization, you'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple ING locations while contributing to large-scale AI initiatives that create impact across the bank.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the entire analytics product development in prioritised area(s) in RBA – from outlining the type of solution through implementation, interpretation of results and transferring capabilities to business units, understanding and enthusiasm for technology, advanced analytics and data science methods
- Product discovery: identify (data) problems, prioritize idea backlog and design and execute experiments to determine what problems need solving, Potential to extend product area when further grow.
- Manage data-driven products so that they generate significant value for ING and its customers, create value propositions, vision and product strategy
- Good understanding of innovation and product management methodologies such as Lean, Agile and Design Thinking, ability to develop structured product concepts from abstract ideas and lead prototyping
- Effective Communication: Work with a squad of Data Scientists and Engineers to discover the potential of a product idea, the user problem and validate and prototype Demonstrate thought leadership internally and externally
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment; ability to adapt as needed
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of diverse problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s with analytical background, preferably in a quantitative discipline Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, MIS, Statistics etc. (Master’s degree or PhD will be a plus)
- Broad experience leading and delivering analytics use cases and products is a must
- Previous experience and proven knowledge of working in corresponding area is a plus.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Excellent team member with an ability to clearly communicate at all levels of an organization in a collaborative and non-hierarchical environment
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to details
- Desire to use modern technologies as a disruptive influence
- Open-minded for new technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Turkish
