Job summary

ING Hubs Türkiye seeks a Chapter Lead for Advanced Analytics to build and guide a high‑performing DS chapter. You will balance people management with delivery work, ensuring capability development and optimal capacity allocation for global priorities.

You will lead, mentor and align with Tribe Leads and Product Leads to deliver complex data projects. You will drive analytics backlog, own performance, and contribute hands-on on DS tasks across lending, personalization, and pricing domains, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical or business field (mathematics, engineering, CS, econometrics)
• Management experience in an Agile organization
• Management experience in a matrix setup is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and data science background in retail domain
• Experience/knowledge of the Tribe business you work in; analytics track record in backlog management and capacity planning
• Ability to lead experts in a complex, dynamic environment and empower teams
• Focussed on continuous improvement and craftsmanship development
• Excellent Python and Spark skills; fluent English; Agile/Scrum experience

The team consists of a number of Global Analytics Centre of Excellences around the bank’s key capabilities (such as Pricing, Risk Management, Financial Crime, Customer Intelligence and People Analytics.) as well as strong coordination areas around data management, technology, customer journey, UX, as well as external partnerships.

About the Role

As a Chapter Lead you have a dual role. You build a strong-identity team that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals, actively perform the people management of your chapter members and further develop and safeguard their knowledge and craftsmanship, in this instance for Advanced Analytics. On the other hand, you are spending the majority of your time working together with your team as a contributor on the delivery as well. As a Chapter Lead you have the complete overview and insight on the capabilities, expertise and experience of your chapter members and you will be responsible to decide on allocation of your chapter members capacity for the global backlog delivery demand coming from the Product Lead and Tribe Lead.

What You’ll Do

• Together with the Tribe Lead and Product Lead develop a view on the future of the DS capability craftsmanship and drive continues development of your chapter members
• Working closely together with the other Chapter Leads to discuss and align on required capabilities and capacity across chapters for delivery
• Together with the Tribe Lead, Product Lead and other People Leads, decide on the allocation of capacity of your chapter members for the delivery of the global priorities
• Steer and develop your chapter members to meet both their career goals and the organisation’s goals, driving engagement and results via inspiring leadership.
• Contribute to the success of the projects you are assigned to by doing hands-on data scientist work.
• Hands-on and multiple retail DS project management in lending, personalization and pricing domains
• Act as an expert on the craftmanship development needs for Data Science
• Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these
• Work with your colleagues on the (global) backlog deliveries
• Attract and retain the best talents, leading interviews when needed for your chapter

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in technical/business field (mathematics, engineering, computer science, econometrics or likewise)
• Management experience in an Agile organization.
• Management experience in a matrix set up is a plus.
• Strong analytic skills.
• Experience as a data scientist in retail domain.
• Experience/ knowledge of the business of the Tribe you work in
• A proven track record in analytics, backlog management and resource planning
• Ability to lead teams of experts working in a highly complex and dynamic environment promoting awareness in others
