Ertek Chemicals is seeking an experienced Procurement Executive to lead our procurement function and develop sourcing strategies, working closely with local and international suppliers.

The role emphasizes analytical insight, initiative, and a global growth mindset to strengthen Ertek Chemicals’ market position. The office is in Tuzla, Istanbul, with standard hours and a mix of on-site and remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain or related field.
• At least 5 years of proven procurement experience in the chemical industry.
• Excellent command of written and spoken Turkish and English.
• Knowledge of international procurement and import processes, customs legislation.
• Experience end-to-end: ordering to warehouse entry with customs cooperation.
• Highly proactive, target-oriented with analytical mindset.
• Strong negotiation and bargaining skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute local and global procurement strategies to drive margin growth.
• Evaluate and improve supplier performance and acquire new suppliers.
• Develop alternative sourcing channels to ensure continuity of materials and services.
• Oversee tracking of orders and deliveries.
• Coordinate with Financial Affairs on payment plans.
• Prepare procurement, import, and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with policies, quality standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with Production, Financial Affairs, R&D and Quality to align strategies.

Ertek Chemicals is seeking an experienced, dynamic and visionary Procurement Executive to lead our procurement function and develop sourcing strategies. The role will work closely both with local and international suppliers.

The ideal candidate will bring analytical insight and an initiator mindset to help Ertek Chemicals grow stronger globally.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of proven procurement experience in the chemical industry.
• Excellent command of written and spoken Turkish and English.
• Knowledge of international procurement and import processes, customs legislation.
• Experience in end-to-end process—from placing the order to tracking the supplier, handling customs procedures in cooperation with customs officers , and the entry of goods into the warehouse.
• Highly proactive, target-oriented, and having analytical mindset.
• Strong negotiation and bargaining skills.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute comprehensive local and global procurement strategies to drive margin growth.
• Evaluate and improve the performance of existing suppliers and acquiring new suppliers.
• Develop alternative sourcing channels to ensure continuity in critical materials and services.
• Oversee the effective tracking of order and delivery.
• Closely work with Financial Affairs in payment plan.
• Prepare procurement, import, and performance reports periodically.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments (Production, Financial Affairs, R&D and Quality) to align procurement strategies with company objectives.

HOW WE WORK

• Our office is in KOSB in Tuzla/İstanbul and working hours are between 08:00 and 17:00.
• Working 1 day of the week remotely and 4 days on-site.
• Employee shuttle services are available from Tuzla, Pendik, Kartal, Maltepe, Sancaktepe and Çekmeköy.
