Job summary

Avient Corporation in Istanbul, Turkey, seeks an Advanced R&D professional to join the Technology Team. You will apply polymer science expertise to develop formulations, optimize processing, and support customer-focused innovations across manufacturing and product development.

The role requires hands-on experience in compounding, extrusion, and injection molding, with a strong bias toward data interpretation, experimentation, and collaboration with engineering, sales, and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a polymer-related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred for advanced roles.
• Strong background in polymer processing and material characterization.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute laboratory experiments, pilot trials, and production-scale validations.
• Develop or improve formulations for polyolefins and engineering thermoplastics.
• Translate customer and application requirements into material performance specifications.
• Evaluate new raw materials, additives, compatibilizers, stabilizers, fillers, and sustainable content solutions.
• Support intellectual property generation through invention disclosures and patent-related activities.
• Create and maintain SAP material masters, formulations, BOMs, and related product documentation.
• Identify technical bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to meet project objectives.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize processing conditions and improve productivity.
• Provide technical expertise to support customer development activities and collaborate with ADTS and Commercial teams.
• Represent the company at technical conferences, industry forums, and customer events.
