Job summary

Vodafone Group Plc in Turkey is seeking an experienced network engineer with 4 years of Optical Transport Networks and SDN experience. You will lead Level 2 operations, troubleshoot, and manage complex faults across DWDM/OTN and Ethernet platforms.

You should have a BSc in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering (Master preferred), be familiar with Nokia & Huawei equipment, and hold or pursue Cisco CCNA/CCNP.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering (Master degree preferred).
• 4 years of experience on Optical Transport Networks (operation and maintenance of transmission systems) and Networking/SDN.
• Significant knowledge of transmission technologies (DWDM, Synchronization, Ethernet).
• Strong understanding of vendor equipment Nokia & Huawei.
• Knowledge of Software Defined Networking Technologies & SDN troubleshooting and analysis tools.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, LDP, MPLS-TE, RSVP-TE, L2-VPN, L3 VPN, IPv6).
• Cisco CCNA / CCNP certificates preferred.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all Level 2 operations (acceptance, troubleshooting, configuration management, SLA/OLA management, solving problems, deep dive analysis) for related products and services.
• Lead the digitalization of Optical Transport network.
• Manage faults on DWDM/OTN, Ethernet, and related platforms; oversee Network Management Systems.
• Manage vendor relations for troubleshooting and network health.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely incident management and adherence to SLAs/KPIs.
• Work under tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ensure VF Turkey Access Network equipment operates 24/7 and support integration of new network systems.
• Ability to work in shifts and be a self-motivated team player.

What you’ll do

• Technical / Professional Expertise


• BSc degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering, (Master degree preferred)


• 4 years of experience on Optical Transport Networks(Operation and maintenance of transmission Systems) & Networking/SDN (Nokia DWDM, Huawei DWDM, other DWDM Vendor)


• Significant knowledge on transmission technologies(DWDM, Synchronization, Ethernet)


• Responsible for all Level 2 operations (acceptance, troubleshooting, configuration management, SLA/OLA management, solving the problem, deep dive analysis, ...etc. ) for corresponding products and services


• Good understanding of the key major vendor’s equipment Nokia & Huawei


• To lead the digitalization of Optical Transport network


• Knowledge of Software Defined Networking Technologies & SDN troubleshooting and analysis tools


• Systems programming, design, and development skills & Solid understanding of fundamental network protocols. Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C++, C#, Objective C, Python, or JavaScript


• Good knowledge of Routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, LDP, MPLS-TE, RSVP-TE, L2-VPN, L3 VPN, IPV6), - Cisco CCNA / CCNP certificates preferred


• Cisco CCNA / CCNP certificates preferred


• To manage complex and compelling faults on our network DWDM/OTN and Ethernet principles Global platform, Multiservice/Reconfigurable Switching, Optical Switching, Transmission Network Management Systems (Nokia: NFM-T Huawei: NCE-T) and Legacy SDH Networks


• To manage vendor relation for troubleshooting and network health


• Good experience for fixed customer and also strong relationship with customer as negotiation by technical issues & producing the solution what customer needs


• To provide timely incidents management support, reacting within agreed customer SLAs/KPI’s


• Ability to work under tight time constraints and meet strict deadlines, without sacrificing any accuracy or detail


• To ensure that VF Turkey Access Network equipment’s works properly 7/24 and to perform integration new network systems.


• To be able to drive a quality car in accordance with safety rules.


• Flexible working times and can work shifts


• Self motivated and team player


• Military services completed for male candidates,


• Fluency within English (written and spoken) & Good communication and presentation skills in English.
