Job summary

Abbott in Istanbul is seeking an Operations Specialist to manage order processing for assigned countries, coordinate with distributors and internal teams, and ensure accurate entry in SAP. The role requires logistics experience, strong communication, and English fluency.

You will collaborate across Finance, CS, and Supply Chain to support payments, reconciliations, and process improvements while maintaining trade compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, logistics or related field.
• 1 year of multinational experience in order management, customer service, or logistics operations.
• SAP knowledge is preferred and encouraged.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken; Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage order processing activities for assigned countries and distributors, ensuring timely and accurate order entry in SAP.
• Monitor order flow, IDOC processing, approvals, and resolve order discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Coordinate backorders, product changes, and shipment schedules with distributors and internal teams.
• Support contract administration processes including instrument, rental, and sales agreements.
• Serve as primary contact for distributors regarding orders, delivery dates, product availability, invoicing, and required documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to support payments, reconciliations, and complaint resolution.
• Monitor SAP system updates and process changes, ensuring smooth implementation and business continuity.
• Support third-party purchasing (PTP) processes, including purchase orders, invoice tracking, and supplier payment coordination.
• Maintain customs and trade compliance documentation including bonded warehouse and import declarations.
• Prepare operational reports and provide information to management and cross-functional teams.
• Provide ongoing support to Sales teams regarding order management policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Order Management, Customer Service, Logistics Operations, or a similar role within a multinational environment.
• SAP knowledge is preferred.
• Good understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
• Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
