Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking an experienced Drilling Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a major maintenance and lifecycle project in Turkey. The role collaborates with operations, maintenance, project, supply chain and QHSE teams to ensure safe, efficient maintenance aligned with project requirements.

Responsibilities include developing maintenance plans and work instructions, creating scopes of work, managing WBS, performing criticality assessments, reviewing OEM documentation, and supporting

Qualifications

• Strong drilling systems experience within offshore drilling or drilling support environments.
• Experience developing maintenance plans, PM tasks, and technical work instructions.
• Experience preparing scopes of work for inspection, maintenance, repair, modification, and commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of asset integrity, criticality assessments, and risk management processes.
• Experience reviewing OEM documentation and technical bulletins.
• Strong stakeholder management and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Experience training and mentoring personnel.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance plans and technical work instructions.
• Prepare scopes of work for inspections and modifications.
• Manage work breakdown structures and criticality assessments.
• Review OEM documentation and technical bulletins.
• Support procurement activities and asset verification.
• Develop maintenance strategies and train local personnel.
• Ensure maintenance plans are reflected in project schedules.
• Answer technical and engineering queries throughout the project lifecycle.
