Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a CFD specialist to tackle advanced simulations, validate AI-generated results, and apply engineering judgment to various fluid dynamics challenges. The role emphasizes mesh generation, turbulence modeling, and multiphase/heat-transfer analysis, with emphasis on verification and validation practices.

You will review AI-assisted outputs, communicate findings clearly, and collaborate with a global team remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical/aerospace/chemical engineering or related CFD-focused field.
• Strong experience conducting and validating CFD simulations (mesh, solver, turbulence, multiphase/heat transfer, post-processing).
• Deep understanding of Navier–Stokes, turbulence models (RANS/LES/DES), meshing, BCs, and V&V practices.
• Ability to analyze/validate fluid flow, heat transfer, and multiphysics with CFD tools against data.
• Familiarity with ASME V&V 20, AIAA CFD verification & validation, ITTC procedures.
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken).
• Experience with CFD software is a strong plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on fluid dynamics or thermofluids; or equivalent practical experience in CFD.
• Have strong relevant experience conducting and validating CFD simulations, including mesh generation, solver setup, turbulence modeling, multiphase/heat-transfer analysis, or post-processing.
• Deep understanding of Navier-Stokes equations, turbulence modeling (RANS, LES, DES), meshing strategies, boundary-condition specification, and verification & validation practices.
• Proven ability to analyze and validate fluid flow, heat-transfer, and multiphysics problems using CFD tools, cross-referencing with experimental or analytical data.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and practices (e.g., ASME V&V 20, AIAA CFD verification & validation, ITTC procedures).
• Excellent English proficiency with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with CFD software (such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, or Converge) is a strong plus.
