Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a CFD engineer to tackle advanced simulations, mesh generation, turbulence modeling, multiphase/heat-transfer analysis, and solver configuration.

You will review AI-generated technical responses for accuracy, apply engineering judgment, validate results against data, and collaborate remotely with a distributed expert network.

Qualifications

• CFD simulations must be conducted and validated with mesh generation, solver setup, turbulence modeling, multiphase/heat-transfer analysis.
• Deep understanding of Navier-Stokes equations and turbulence models (RANS, LES, DES).
• Ability to analyze and validate fluid flow, heat transfer, and multiphysics problems with CFD tools against data.
• Familiarity with ASME V&V 20, AIAA CFD verification & validation, ITTC procedures.
• Excellent English proficiency in written and spoken form.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on fluid dynamics or thermofluids; or equivalent practical experience.
• Have strong relevant experience conducting and validating CFD simulations, including mesh generation, solver setup, turbulence modeling, multiphase/heat-transfer analysis, or post-processing.
• Deep understanding of Navier-Stokes equations, turbulence modeling (RANS, LES, DES), meshing strategies, boundary-condition specification, and verification & validation practices.
• Proven ability to analyze and validate fluid flow, heat-transfer, and multiphysics problems using CFD tools, cross-referencing with experimental or analytical data.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and practices (e.g., ASME V&V 20, AIAA CFD verification & validation, ITTC procedures).
• Excellent English proficiency with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with CFD software (such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, or Converge) is a strong plus.
