Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Pod lead in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering for Terminal Bench Science. The role is contract and remote, with a pay rate of $15-$20 per hour and a commitment of 10–40 hours per week, starting immediately.

You will mentor a pod of technical trainers, review engineering tasks end to end, and ensure authentic workflows in FEA, CFD, dynamics, and propulsion modeling. Strong documentation and feedback skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., postdoc, or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, Fortran or MATLAB/Octave.
• Hands-on expertise in FEA, CFD, dynamics, or propulsion modeling.
• Experience reviewing complex technical work and engineering simulations.
• Excellent written communication and mentoring ability.
