Job summary

RISE Housing and Support Services invites a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at RISE Above in Ballston Spa, NY. A successful candidate will support residents during recovery from chemical dependency and help integrate into a new program meeting a community need.

The position begins at the ground floor of an innovative program with growth opportunities, a base wage of $27 per hour, and a $1,500 bonus after 6 months, plus a generous time-off package and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• NYS Licensed Practical Nurse with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to operate independently and follow training.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal boundaries.
• Shared belief in compassion, respect, positivity, and inclusion.
• Background checks as per policy.
• Valid NY State Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing services to residents as prescribed in their treatment recovery plan under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Observing, measuring, recording, and reporting on data related to residents’ physical and mental status.
• Administering medications and nursing treatments as appropriate.
• Acclimating residents to surroundings, program philosophy and expectations.
• Participating in crisis intervention.
• Complying with relevant regulations governing the program.
