Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager, Mission Critical to lead field inspections, coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection resources, and manage subcontractors through the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include reviewing bids, submittals, change orders, and close-out documentation, while ensuring schedule, safety, and quality standards are met. Strong BIM/VDC skills and LEED familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or Fire Protection.
• 5+ years experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of BIM/VDC coordination and related tools.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, and LEED requirements.
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical bid tabs and Exhibit B in contract.
• Interview and select subcontractors for each project.
• Day-to-day manage MEP subcontractors.
• Review and approve MEP monthly requisitions and change orders.
• Coordinate with BIM/VDC personnel and Superintendent to track schedule.
• Collaborate with A/E team to resolve coordination issues.
• Review all MEP submittals and ensure compliance.
• Obtain documentation from inspections and testing.
• Oversee MEP & FP contractor and commissioning agent.
• Coordinate with owner third-party MEP contractors or testing agencies.
• Ensure life-safety inspections and AHJ approvals.
