S&P Global Energy in Istanbul, Turkey is seeking a Principal Analyst to lead the Turkey & Middle East ferrous metals coverage. You will own forecasts for Turkey ferrous scrap and develop models across scrap, DRI, HBI, and steel markets, while engaging with regional stakeholders.

The role requires strong quantitative skills, regional networks, and fluency in Turkish and English. Collaborative, cross-functional work is expected in a global research environment.

Formación

• Knowledge of Turkey and/or Middle East ferrous markets.
• Established network across regional steel, scrap or metallics industries.
• Experience in commodity markets, market research, consulting, or analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and with global teams.
• Fluency in Turkish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and expand research coverage of Turkey and Middle East ferrous metals markets.
• Maintain and enhance Turkey ferrous scrap price forecasts.
• Develop supply-demand models and price forecasts for key ferrous commodities.
• Track regional capacity developments, trade flows, and trends.
• Build relationships with steelmakers, traders, and industry participants.
• Produce high-quality research, market commentary, and client presentations.
• Collaborate with global research, analytics, product, and commercial teams.
