Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead ABAP/EWM Engineer to deliver high-impact SAP ABAP solutions for SAP EWM with strong warehouse process expertise. You will design ABAP components across core warehouse flows and work with functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

The role requires deep ABAP/EWM experience, performance tuning, and integration skills across IDocs, APIs, and Web Services. Collaboration with SAP consultants and architects is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
Deep SAP EWM knowledge including RF Framework and deliveries.
Advanced ABAP proficiency, OO, performance tuning, SQL optimization.
Experience with BADIs, Enhancement Spots, and Enhancements.
Strong integration experience with IDocs, ALE, APIs, OData, Web Services.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and release ABAP developments within SAP EWM and logistics.
Implement ABAP solutions using ABAP Objects, BADIs, user exits, enhancements, IDocs, RFCs, Web Services.
Translate logistics and warehouse management needs into technical specs and ABAP code.
Diagnose root causes, debug EWM programs, and improve performance for high-volume transactions.
Coordinate unit and integration testing with QA and maintain technical documentation.
Collaborate with SAP functional consultants and architects in an Agile/Scrum setup.

Job description

We are seeking a Lead ABAP/EWM Engineer to deliver high-impact SAP ABAP solutions for SAP EWM with strong end-to-end logistics process expertise. You will design and enhance ABAP components across core warehouse flows, partner with functional teams in Agile/Scrum, and ensure performance and quality.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and release custom ABAP developments and change requests (CRs) within SAP EWM and core logistics modules
Implement complex technical solutions using ABAP Objects, BADIs, user exits, enhancement spots, IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, and SAP Fiori/UI5 (where applicable)
Translate logistics and warehouse management business needs into clear technical specifications and efficient ABAP code
Diagnose root causes, debug existing EWM programs, and improve performance for high-volume logistics transactions
Coordinate unit and integration testing with functional consultants and QA teams, and keep thorough technical documentation
Collaborate closely with SAP functional consultants, system architects, and business analysts within an Agile/Scrum environment

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of professional experience delivering SAP ABAP development
Proven domain expertise with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), including RF Framework, warehouse task creation, inbound/outbound delivery processing, and storage control
Advanced proficiency in SAP ABAP, including ABAP Objects, OO principles, performance tuning, and SQL optimization
Hands-on experience applying enhancement frameworks such as BADIs, Enhancement Spots, and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements
Solid integration experience with IDocs, ALE, APIs, OData, and Web Services
