We are looking for a Legal Manager (Lawyer) to join Akkök Holding’s Legal Department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university,
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the legal departments of companies and/or law firms,
- Solid knowledge and experience in Corporate Law; familiarity with M&A and finance-related matters is a plus,
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English,
- Strong planning and organizational skills,
- Proficient in MS Office applications,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Strong team player with effective time management and follow-up skills,
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the provision of legal advice and consultancy on matters referred verbally or in writing, in close coordination with relevant departments and affiliated group companies.
- Manage and oversee legal processes relating to company incorporations, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), legal due diligence, Competition Authority applications, and other corporate transactions.
- Lead the review, negotiation, and finalization of all types of agreements to which the company is a party; identify and assess potential legal risks, recommend appropriate amendments, and ensure that the company’s legal interests are adequately protected.
- Manage and oversee intellectual property matters, including licensing, trademarks, and related legal processes.
- Take ownership of personal data protection and privacy matters; ensure compliance with applicable regulations, monitor legal developments, and lead the coordination and implementation of necessary actions across relevant departments.
- Manage and provide legal guidance on employment and labor law-related matters and processes.
- Lead the monitoring of changes in applicable legislation and regulations, assess their impact on the organization, and ensure the timely implementation of necessary actions.
- Oversee the preparation and review of corporate legal documents, including Board Resolutions, public announcements and disclosures, powers of attorney, and other relevant documentation.
- Lead and oversee General Assembly processes; ensure effective coordination with the Finance Department regarding the registration and publication of Board Resolutions, oversee the preparation of relevant documentation, and ensure completion of filings through the Central Registry System (MERSİS), where applicable.
- Manage the preparation and submission of petitions, applications, and correspondence to public authorities and private institutions, and oversee the follow-up of related legal and administrative processes.
