Job summary

Career Land Center is hiring an experienced Sous Chef for an F&B company in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will support daily kitchen operations, maintain high food quality, supervise junior chefs, and ensure smooth preparation and service.

You will work under senior culinary leadership, uphold recipes and standards, manage hygiene and HACCP, monitor portion control, and coordinate with service and purchasing teams to keep the kitchen efficient. Relocation assistance and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in high-volume F&B.
• Strong leadership, supervision, and staff training abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Experience with menu execution, recipe standards, and plating.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef and leadership in daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise food preparation, mise en place, cooking, plating, and service readiness.
• Ensure dishes meet company standards and quality expectations.
• Guide and coach junior kitchen staff.
• Monitor quality, portion control, and timing.
• Assist with menu execution and daily specials.
• Maintain hygiene and HACCP compliance.
• Monitor stock, rotation, waste, and kitchen organization.
• Assist with procurement and cost-conscious practices.
• Coordinate with service, stewarding, purchasing, and management teams.
• Lead kitchen section when required.
• Drive continuous improvements in efficiency and productivity.
