Job summary

About This Opportunity

We are looking for an IT Test Engineer to join our QA team and contribute to ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our IT applications and solutions. In this role, you will work closely with development and other cross-functional teams throughout the testing lifecycle. You will design and execute functional and performance tests, identify and track defects, validate test environments and data, and help ensure that our solutions are ready for reliable production releases. Your contribution will be key to improving test coverage, reducing production defects, and enabling stable and timely releases.

What You Will Do

• Analyze functional requirements and scenarios and design effective IT test cases.
• Plan, design, and execute functional and performance testing activities.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts and perform related unit testing.
• Execute manual and automated test cases using specified testing tools and report test results.
• Prepare, validate, and maintain test environments, test data, and testing scenarios.
• Troubleshoot IT applications and investigate issues identified during testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using relevant defect management tools.
• Retest resolved defects and manage the defect lifecycle from identification through closure.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to analyze issues, follow up on fixes, and ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to improving test coverage, testing efficiency, automation, and overall QA processes.
• Support stable and reliable software releases by proactively identifying quality risks.

You will bring

• Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related IT testing role.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and the defect lifecycle.
• Experience in designing and executing functional test cases.
• Knowledge of performance testing concepts and preferably experience with performance test scripting.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Understanding of test environment preparation and test data validation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate complex application issues.
• A detail-oriented and quality-focused mindset.
• Good communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with development and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to take ownership of testing activities and follow issues through to resolution.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and an interest in improving testing processes and quality practices.
