Job summary

Vodafone invites talented network professionals to join a global telco team in Istanbul. You will troubleshoot faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to maintain resilient core services across IP networks.

The role emphasizes proactive incident prevention, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior specialists while adhering to health, safety, and information security standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering required.
• CCNA/CCNP certification desirable.
• Strong MPLS/BGP and Traffic Engineering experience.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent English and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Make troubleshooting in case of faults or service outages.

What You’ll Do

• Make troubleshooting in case of faults or service outages
• Find root cause of faults and take corrective actions
• Work in a proactive way to prevent incidents
• Give support to other teams
• Ensure that all Core services are planned and implemented in a resilient approach
• Ensure that current Core Network configurations are the same as they planned
• Ensure that current structure
• Ensure that all major and critical changes will be done in maintenance window
• Train junior level IP Core Operation specialist
• Train other teams about general overview of Core
• Ensure that VF HSE&W procedures are implemented and works carried out in compliance with local HSE regulations
• Ensure that work associated risks are assessed and reduced so far as is reasonably practicable
• Comply with VFTR’s information security policy, standards and procedures, available under Intranet / Corporate Security Library,
• Report all suspected security and/or policy breaches, potential security risks to VF TR Corporate Security,
• Protect VF TR’s information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference,
• Protect user accounts and associated passwords , and accept accountability for any actions performed via usage of those accounts
• Ensure that BCM risks are assessed and mitigated so far as is reasonably practicable in VFTR Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)
• Ensure VTR BCMS by planning, establishing, embedding, implementing, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving within VFTR

Who You Are

• Degree qualified in a Science or an Engineering discipline
• Min 5 years of network experience
• Min 4 years service provider experince
• Significant MPLS, BGP, SR and Traffic Engineering experience
• CCNA/CCNP Certification
• Significant experience of IP Network planning and design activities
• Deep understanding of Data network and Security
• Good understanding of Signaling, VoIP, 2G/3G/4G/5G services
• Fluent English
• Excellent Problem solving skills
• Technical qualification in a network related subject and relevant accreditations from network supplier
• Significant experience in network infrastructure essentially in MPLS, Traffic Engineering, SR, QoS, Layer2 and Layer3 technologies
• Hands-on experience with high end routers produced by various vendorsSignificant experience Data Center Technologies
• Ensure that all Core services are planned and implemented in a resilient approach
