Özyeğin University in Istanbul seeks an Associate Manager for Budget, Reporting & Control to join the Directorate of Financial Affairs. The role focuses on IFRS-based financial statements, monthly close, and annual budget consolidation with end-to-end ownership.

You will collaborate with business units, build 3-statement models, support forecasting, and coordinate with internal and external audits, bringing strong technical expertise and strategic finance acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 4–5 years total professional experience with 3–4 years in Big 4 or similar audit firms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance; proven ability to prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements.
• Proven capability in building complex financial models.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements and oversee related processes.
• Oversee accurate recording of accounting transactions and identify process improvements.
• Participate in month-end close ensuring IFRS-compliant accruals and adjustments.
• Coordinate audits with external and internal teams and ensure timely information delivery.
• Build 3-statement financial models to support forecasting and decision-making.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and alignment with policies and objectives.
• Monitor budget vs. actual variances and prepare explanatory reports.
• Support reporting and audits required by YÖK (Council of Higher Education).
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
• Recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
