Job summary

Özyeğin University in Istanbul is seeking an Associate Manager to join the Budget, Reporting & Control unit. You will drive IFRS-based financial statements, monthly closings, budget consolidation, and forecasting with end-to-end ownership and analytical rigor.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across finance and operations to improve processes, build robust financial models, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting external audits and internal reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Total professional experience 4–5 years, with 3–4 years in Big 4 or similar audit firms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance; IFRS-based statements experience.
• Proven capability in building complex financial models.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IFRS-based financial statements.
• Oversee accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions and drive process improvements.
• Participate in month-end closing with IFRS-compliant adjustments.
• Act as liaison during audits, ensuring timely delivery of information.
• Build 3-statement financial models to support forecasting and decision-making.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and coordination across units.
• Monitor budget vs. actual variances and prepare explanatory reports.
• Support reporting and audits required by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
• Provide ad-hoc financial analyses for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
