Job summary

Damen Shipyards Antalya is seeking a Hull Construction Department Engineer to join our Hull Construction team and take an active role in steel and aluminium hull construction of our shipbuilding projects.

You will coordinate construction activities, develop plans from drawings and schedules, manage subcontractors, ensure quality and timelines, and collaborate with Engineering and Production to resolve technical issues. Relocation to Antalya is expected if required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering or related engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant shipbuilding experience.
• Knowledge of technical drawings, production processes and shipbuilding practices.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, production planning and site follow-up.
• Strong planning, organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to take ownership and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Living in or willing to relocate to Antalya.
• No military service obligation for male candidates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor steel and aluminium hull construction and outfitting activities throughout the production process.
• Prepare and follow up production and construction plans based on drawings, specs, schedules and targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring effective information flow regarding drawings, specs, materials and production requirements.
• Monitor fabrication and assembly on site, ensuring compliance with quality standards, specs and schedules.
• Follow up work progress, quality, inspections, revisions and corrective actions with production teams.
• Support vessel and block transportation and turning operations when required.
• Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Production and other departments to resolve technical issues.

Damen Shipyards Antalya is looking for a Hull Construction Department Engineer to join our Hull Construction team and take an active role in the steel and aluminium construction processes of our shipbuilding projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor steel and aluminium hull construction, as well as related outfitting activities, throughout the production process.
• Prepare and follow up production and construction plans based on technical drawings, specifications, project schedules and delivery targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring effective information flow regarding drawings, specifications, materials and production requirements.
• Monitor fabrication and assembly activities on site, ensuring compliance with required quality standards, technical specifications and project schedules.
• Follow up work progress, quality performance, inspections, revisions and corrective actions together with the relevant production teams.
• Support the coordination of vessel and block transportation and turning operations when required.
• Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Production and other relevant departments to resolve technical and operational issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in shipbuilding, steel and/or aluminium construction, or hull production.
• Good knowledge of technical drawings, production processes and shipbuilding practices.
• Experience in subcontractor coordination, production planning and site follow-up.
• Strong planning, organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to take ownership, coordinate multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a dynamic production environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Previous experience in engineering or design activities is considered a plus, particularly for effective technical communication with the Engineering Department, providing technical feedback, and preparing sketches when required.
• Living in or willing to relocate to Antalya.
