Job summary

Communities In Schools of Houston is seeking a Director of Program Operations to oversee the Department of Program Operations and lead campus-based programs, staff, and service delivery. The role drives strategy, coaching, and partnership development to advance CIS’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
• Six or more years of leadership experience in a social service agency, education, or related nonprofit field
• Extensive supervisory experience with 15+ staff and performance management

Responsibilities

• Oversee CIS Campus Site Locations
• Develop and implement communication strategies for staff and campuses
• Evaluate programs and growth potential on campuses
• Direct Program Directors and campus staff on resources and deliverables
• Lead the Department of Program Operations
• Provide coaching and performance development for staff
• Set best practices for supervisors and staff
• Advance program operations planning and action plans
• Communicate effective practices to program staff
• Manage campus-based staff challenges and crises
• Create and implement CIS Program Operation initiatives
• Coordinate with departments on new initiatives and policy adherence
• Oversee data reporting for contractual requirements
• Plan staff training and development
• Engage external partners and represent CIS
• Maintain partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders
• Interface with campus and district admins to ensure integrated services
• Maintain intra-department communication and rapport
• Maintain and update department policies and handbooks
• Support recruitment and staffing for CIS programs
• Manage and monitor the Program Operations budget
• Perform other duties as assigned
