Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Electrical Technician to inspect, repair, replace, install, wire, adjust, and maintain equipment at an assigned location. The role sits within Engineering and Technical Services, providing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

You will follow instructions for repairs and inspections, assess shutdown needs, and perform both electrical and basic mechanical tasks with safety as a priority. Strong MS Office and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience; combination of experience and education considered in lieu of a diploma.
• Physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs+.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in task execution.
• Strong communication to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills including percentages, discounts, and markups.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
• Advise when immediate equipment shutdown is necessary to minimize damage.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, or replace electrical equipment with safety precautions.
• Make mechanical repairs related to servicing electrical equipment.
• Install or replace wire sections as part of repairs or temporary installations.
• Perform emergency mechanical repairs with limited supervision.
• Apply existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
• Output delivery following defined procedures under close supervision.
