Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Technician to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment through routine preventive maintenance and repairs.

The role sits within Engineering and Technical Services, supporting preventive maintenance and repair tasks. You will perform ongoing maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems equipment, assist with equipment modifications, review work orders, estimate time and materials, and support energy

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems equipment.
• Assist with modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs; track completion.
• Support energy management to ensure systems run efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools and items needed for work orders.
• Inspect installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Follow defined procedures to solve straightforward problems under supervision.
