Job summary

Gizli is seeking an import operations specialist in Turkey to organize logistics, manage customs clearance, and coordinate with domestic and international suppliers and freight forwarders.

You will monitor daily import activities from order to delivery, review documents, analyze duties and costs, and ensure accurate data entry and timely reporting while maintaining strict attention to detail. Fluent written and spoken English are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in import operations and purchasing.
• Sound knowledge of customs regulations, foreign trade practices, and international transportation processes.
• Ability to manage the daily monitoring and coordination of import operations.
• Experience in documentation, cost analysis, and reporting.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong planning and follow-up skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Organize the logistics and customs clearance processes for product purchases from domestic and international suppliers.
• Monitor and coordinate import operations from order placement through final delivery.
• Review and archive bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and other relevant foreign trade documents.
• Ensure that all import-related data is accurately and completely entered into the company’s systems.
• Analyze customs duties and other import-related expenses and conduct product-level cost analyses.
• Monitor the costs of import shipments and prepare the relevant reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor payment processes related to import transactions and prepare the necessary payment plans.
• Conduct freight rate research for international transportation and compare quotations received from service providers.
• Ensure that all import operations are completed on time and in compliance with applicable regulations.
