MEAtec is seeking a seasoned Frontend Developer to design and implement data-driven, high-performance web apps for Battery Passport and Battery Analytics. You’ll own UI quality, collaborate with backend teams, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate prototyping and delivery.

The role emphasizes building a polished, design-led product with a strong eye for detail, working in a fast-paced, international team environment.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Frontend Developer with strong design skills to join our growing team and help build the next generation of Battery Passport and Battery Analytics platforms. In this role, you will develop data-driven, high-performance web applications that enable traceability, compliance, and real-time insights across the battery lifecycle - owning both the engineering and the visual quality of what you ship. You will work closely with backend engineers and product owners to turn complex data into intuitive, scalable, and beautifully crafted user experiences using modern AI-assisted tooling. This is a hands-on role where you will drive product features end-to-end "from design system and UI implementation to API integration" in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance the Battery Passport and Battery Analytics web platforms.
• Build responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect UIs using React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Ant Design and TypeScript.
• Own and evolve the design system and shared component library, translating Figma designs into polished, consistent interfaces.
• Use AI-assisted development tools ( Claude, v0, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate prototyping, delivery, and code quality.
• Participate in end-to-end feature delivery: planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Work closely with backend developers, integrating REST APIs/WebSocket.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and drive debugging and performance tuning.
• Support CI/CD processes and deployments (Docker, Azure Pipelines, Nginx) and champion frontend best practices and tooling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Tier 1 or Tier 2 universities preferred).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in modern frontend development, with a strong track record of shipping polished, design-led products..
• Strong design sensibility with hands-on experience building and maintaining design systems, plus proficiency in Figma and a sharp eye for detail.
• Proficient with AI-assisted development tools ( Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0) and prompt-driven workflows.
• Strong experience with state management libraries such as Context API, Redux, or Zustand, as well as testing and performance optimization techniques.
• Understanding of backend and database technologies such as Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch is a plus.
• Experience with deployment technologies like Docker, Nginx, CI/CD pipelines.
• Good command of English (spoken and written) for global team collaboration.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment.
