Job summary

Mirsis Bilgi Teknolojileri is seeking a Business Analyst to join our United Kingdom office on a freelance contract basis. The role focuses on gathering and documenting requirements for IT systems and software projects, and collaborating with product, development, QA, and business stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a 2–10 year BA track record, strong SQL skills, experience with APIs and data flows, and proficiency with Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Industrial/Computer Engineering, MIS, CS).
• 2–10 years of professional BA experience.
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, and data validation.
• Familiar with APIs, integrations, and data flows.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting testing (UAT) and test scenarios.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and process modeling tools.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business requirements for IT systems, software applications, and digital solutions.
• Collaborate with business, product, development, QA, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Take an active role in the end-to-end development process, from requirements analysis through development, testing, and go-live.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Use SQL to perform data analysis, data validation, and business-related investigations.
• Translate data analysis findings into actionable business requirements and recommendations.
• Support the analysis of APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and other relevant documentation.
• Support test scenario preparation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validation of developed features.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams and actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other relevant ceremonies.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on requirements and deliverables.
