Job summary

Garanti BBVA Technology is seeking a Fraud Management Team member to help shape future technology. You will join an agile, high‑tech environment focusing on preventing fraud in payment channels and card operations.

The role demands strong analytical thinking, risk analysis capabilities, and the ability to work meticulously in a busy setting. Training and development are emphasized, with opportunities for cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical thinking for risk analyzes in external fraud.
• Ability to work carefully and error-free in a detailed, busy environment.
• High communication and persuasion skills, proficient in stress management.

Responsibilities

• Work in shifts (7/24 day/night on weekends and holidays).
• Detect external fraud in withdrawal/transfer transactions and stop fraud progression.
• Respond to requests from Branch and Customer Communication Center; ensure follow-up.
• Monitor cards restricted for authorization, mail order/telephone order and e-commerce transactions.
• Investigate suspicious credit card purchases, payment transactions, ATM withdrawals and cash advances.
• Participate in trainings to raise bank/customer awareness on fraud.

What will you be doing in this team?

• Able to work in shifts that change at regular intervals (7/24 all day shifts on weekends and public holidays)
• In case of detection of external fraud regarding withdrawal/transfer transactions from our bank's accounts, taking the necessary actions to stop the development of the fraud event, to keep the bank/customer loss to a minimum,
• Responding to requests from the Branch, Customer Communication Center and other departments, processing the requests sent to the team and ensuring the necessary follow-up,
• To monitor and follow up on cards restricted for authorization, mail order/telephone order and e-commerce transactions as part of fraud prevention and card security processes.
• To investigate suspicious or potentially fraudulent credit card purchases, payment transactions, ATM cash withdrawals and cash advance transactions, and to take appropriate preventive actions based on the findings.
• Participating in trainings and studies to raise bank/customer awareness on the fight against fraud

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics, Statistics and basic sciences such as Mathematics or Physics
• Having strong analytical thinking, be able to conduct risk analyzes related to external fraud with a broad perspective
