Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. in Istanbul is seeking a Finance Manager to build a robust finance function from the ground up. You will report to the Managing Director, ensure compliant reporting, and act as a trusted partner to local and HQ teams.

You will lead the finance team, oversee monthly and annual reporting in line with HGB, Turkish GAAP and IFRS, and collaborate with auditors and tax authorities to ensure governance and compliance.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in finance management, preferably in international retail or FMCG.
• Proven leadership experience with strong business partnering skills.
• Strong SAP knowledge and understanding of tax topics and financial regulations.
• Ability to interpret financial standards, ensure compliance, and manage complex processes.
• Excellent analytical, detail-oriented work with deadlines.
• Native Turkish and fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of financial accounting and tax and prepare monthly, annual, and group statements in line with HGB, Turkish GAAP and IFRS.
• Ensure sound accounting practices, continuously develop policies, compliance standards, and internal control systems.
• Act as a key point of contact for shareholders, auditors, tax advisors, regulators and other external stakeholders.
• Manage tax and business operation matters, including statutory filings and transfer pricing compliance.
• Ensure quality and integrity of financial data and accurate recording in financial systems.
• Serve as the interface to Controlling for forecasting, budgeting, KPI management and reporting.
• Lead, develop and support the Finance team and collaborate with stakeholders.

Finance Manager (m/f/d) - Istanbul

Your new job includes

We are currently establishing a new company in Istanbul that will serve as a logistics hub for the region. As Finance Manager (m/f/d) on-site, you will report directly to the Managing Director and play a key role in building a strong and reliable finance function from the ground up. You will ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting, establish and maintain robust governance and compliance structures in line with HQ policies and regulatory requirements, and provide reliable financial insights to support strategic decision-making. In addition, you will build and develop a high-performing team, foster a sustainable and supportive work environment, and act as a trusted business partner to local management, HQ functions, and external stakeholders.

In particular, you will:

• take ownership of financial accounting and tax as well as the preparation of monthly, annual, and group financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB), Turkish GAAP and IFRS
• ensure sound accounting practices, continuously develop accounting policies, compliance standards, and internal control systems, and establish effective internal reporting structures to support financial controlling and management decision-making
• act as one of the key point of contact for shareholders, auditors, tax advisors, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders
• manage financial matters related to tax and business operations, including statutory filings, the proper recording and documentation of all business transactions, and compliance with transfer pricing requirements
• ensure the quality and integrity of all financial data and the accurate recording of business transactions within financial systems
• serve as the key interface to Controlling, providing a reliable data foundation for forecasting, budgeting, KPI management, and management reporting
• lead, develop, and support your Finance team both professionally and disciplinarily, while fostering effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

What you should bring along

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation or a related field; advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance management, ideally in international retail, FMCG, or other customer-oriented industries, including collaboration with stakeholders at different levels in an international environment.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and developing teams, combined with strong business partnering skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and key internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and a solid understanding of general tax topics and relevant financial regulations.
• Ability to interpret financial standards, ensure compliance, and manage complex financial processes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with accuracy under deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, combined with native-level proficiency in Turkish and fluency in English. German language skills are a plus.
