Job summary

StarCharge Europe in Istanbul is seeking a field service engineer responsible for commissioning, testing and maintenance of charging equipment across the region, with frequent travel.

You will provide on-site and remote technical support for international projects, perform upgrades, and train customers on safe operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in field service or technical support; international projects a plus.
• Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid local driver''s license and driving proficiency.
• English and Turkish language proficiency required; Chinese daily communication preferred.
• Electrical certification/license is a strong plus; local license requirements may apply.

Job description

Location: Base in Islanbul. Frequent travel within countries is required. Chinese speaker is prefered, English & Turkish Speaking is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the commissioning, testing, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of charging equipment within the assigned region.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support and consultation to customers on international projects, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Execute upgrades and modifications for charging equipment. Perform emergency repairs and provide on-site support for major customer events.
• Conduct basic operational and safety training for customers and other relevant personnel.
• Track, manage, and resolve other project or client-related issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
• Experience: Prior experience in field service, technical support, or a related area is preferred. Experience working on international projects is a significant advantage.
• Proficient in reading and understanding electrical circuit diagrams.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Strong independent learning and problem-solving abilities.
• Must hold a valid local driver's license and be a proficient driver.
• Language Skills (Mandatory):
• Professional proficiency in English (verbal and written) is required for internal and regional communication.
• Professional proficiency in Turkish (verbal and written) is required for the local market.
• Daily conmunication skill in Chinese (verbal ) is prefered for internal communicaiton.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Relevant electrical certification/license (e.g., electrician's certificate) is a strong plus.
• A valid driver's license for Portugal/Spain is required.
