Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze electricity market activities including DAM, IDM, Balancing, settlement, and tariffs.
• Follow regulations and report regulatory impacts to management.
• Manage and analyze the energy portfolio, monitoring consumption, generation, positions, and costs.
• Perform energy pricing, cost, profitability, tariff, and risk analyses to support decisions.
• Coordinate with existing energy customers on forecasting, pricing, settlement, and imbalance processes.
• Monitor forecasted consumption and generation across domestic and international facilities.
• Identify trading and portfolio optimization opportunities through market monitoring.
• Develop and manage DAM/MCP, YEKDEM, forecasting using Python, R, Excel or similar tools.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and deviations and mitigate imbalance costs.
• Oversee EPİAŞ, EPDK, TEİAŞ, settlement, collateral, and related processes.
• Develop data-driven analytics, dashboards, and reporting for trading and portfolio management.
• Provide regular and ad-hoc market, portfolio, forecasting, cost, risk, and performance reports to senior management.
• Coordinate energy trading with group companies and internal departments.
• Follow developments in renewable certificates and green energy markets (I-REC, YEK-G, GO).
• Track carbon markets, CBAM, and European Green Deal impacts on costs and trading.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline,
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in energy markets, electricity trading, portfolio management, or related commercial energy activities,

Job Description

• Monitor, analyze, and manage electricity market activities including the Day-Ahead Market (DAM), Intraday Market (IDM), Balancing Power Market, settlement, imbalance, tariffs, and related market operations,
• Follow regulations and legislative developments related to electricity and energy markets, assess their commercial and operational impacts on company processes, and report findings and recommendations to management,
• Manage and analyze the company’s energy portfolio by monitoring consumption, generation, market positions, imbalance exposure, energy costs, and commercial performance,
• Perform energy pricing, cost, profitability, tariff, and commercial risk analyses to support energy trading and portfolio management decisions,
• Manage relationships with existing energy portfolio customers, coordinate their consumption forecasting, pricing, settlement, imbalance, and other energy market-related operational processes, and ensure timely resolution of customer needs in coordination with relevant internal teams,
• Monitor actual and forecasted energy consumption and generation across the company’s domestic and international facilities and manage their impact on portfolio positions and imbalance exposure,
• Continuously monitor market positions, consumption and generation forecasts, tariffs, imbalance exposure, and energy costs to identify trading and portfolio optimization opportunities,
• Perform and/or manage DAM/MCP, YEKDEM, consumption, and renewable generation forecasting for energy trading and portfolio optimization purposes using Python, R, Excel, or similar analytical tools,
• Monitor forecast accuracy and forecast deviations, analyze their financial and operational impacts, and develop actions to minimize imbalance costs,
• Monitor and manage relevant EPİAŞ, EPDK, TEİAŞ, settlement, collateral, and other electricity market operational processes,

• Monitor market developments, supply-demand dynamics, energy prices, tariffs, and other factors affecting the company’s short-, medium-, and long-term energy costs and trading strategies,
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc energy market, portfolio, forecasting, cost, risk, and performance reports for senior management and provide actionable recommendations,
• Coordinate energy trading and portfolio management activities with group companies and relevant internal departments, ensuring effective information flow and operational alignment,
• Follow developments in renewable energy certificates and green energy markets such as I-REC, YEK-G, GO, and similar mechanisms where relevant to the company’s energy portfolio,
