Job summary

SiFly Aviation is seeking two senior Embedded Linux Engineers to own the platform services bridging OS and product. You’ll write C/C++ and Python on a Yocto-based platform, ship containerized or systemd-managed services, and help prototypes become production features for the fleet.

You will collaborate with a broad cross-functional team across applications and hardware, owning gaps between lanes and helping the platform move faster.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of embedded Linux development across multiple domains.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or similar.
• Shipped work across Linux subsystems with self-direction and ownership.
• Strong C/C++ and Python, building resource-efficient services on Yocto.
• Experience with debugging, packaging, tests, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop platform services between OS and product on a Yocto-based image.
• Package services as containerized or systemd-managed units for shipping.
• Collaborate with drone-management and platform teams to own cross-cutting work.
• Prototype-to-production: turn concepts into shipped features with tests.
• Assist BSP and release teams; provide debugging and integration support.
