Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking an LPN for the OB/Gyn department to provide skilled direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision. The role supports a day shift of 40 hours per week in a dynamic inpatient/outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio LPN license, brings CPR certification, and has pharmacology coursework. Strong communication and data interpretation abilities are essential to ensure safe, effective care and smooth operations in a busy clinical

Qualifications

• One year previous experience.
• Current Ohio LPN license.
• Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of orientation.
• Completion of an approved pharmacology course.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an oral and written manner, as well as the ability to observe, assess, guide, and evaluate others
• Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan
• Ability to read, calculate, and prepare medication, as well as the ability to observe and analyze any resulting reactions and to apply clinical knowledge.

Overview of Position:

The LPN administers skilled direct and indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients according to the patient’s plan of care under the direction of the physician or advanced practice provider. The position is required to adhere to universal precautions and is compliant with infection control policies. This incumbent carries out job requirements as delegated by and with the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider, or registered nurse.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
