Job summary

IOM invites applications for a procurement role based in Ankara. The incumbent will manage procurement requisitions, tender processes, supplier terms, and payment coordination, ensuring compliance with Procurement and Logistics Rules and Procedures.

The role requires strong communication with both national and international vendors and collaboration with Finance. Education options include a university degree or equivalent experience; certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field with two years of relevant experience; or
• High school diploma with four years of relevant experience
• Certification in Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Receive and consolidate procurement requisitions; verify information and compliance
• Prepare tender documents and bids; share bid analysis with requesting unit
• Confirm terms with suppliers and prepare purchase orders/contracts
• Monitor requisitions and ensure timely delivery; collect delivery notes
• Review vendor invoices and coordinate payments with Finance
• Maintain records of procurement documentation and support reports
• Conduct market surveys to identify new suppliers and evaluate proposals
• Track contractual agreements and coordinate renewals; monitor office supplies and utilities payments
• Provide technical information on procurement instructions and procedures
• Perform supply chain tasks related to assets, warehousing, and transportation
• Coordinate transportation needs and monitor vehicle maintenance
