Job summary

NATO Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) Izmir, Türkiye seeks a Staff Assistant (Disbursing) to manage funds, process payments, and maintain accounting records in a fast-paced office setting.

The role requires book-keeping experience, English proficiency, and the ability to work within NATO financial directives. Responsibilities include payroll, social security and tax payments, and audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, custody, transfer and issue of funds for payrolls and allowances.
• Experience in financial management or in a disbursing post prior assignment.
• Knowledge of NATO financial directives and Fins is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Requisitioning funds to meet current financial requirements.
• Receiving and safeguarding international funds.
• Executing payments and receipts authorised by the Finance & Accounting Branch.
• Maintaining automated accounting records.
• Maintaining local and foreign bank accounts.
• Dealing with local banks and social security/tax offices as needed.
• Preparing financial returns and reports for audit purposes.
• Ensuring proper disbursement records and documentation.
